About Nathan D. Tilly

Nathan Tilly joined Glenn | Tilly, PLLC in 2014. Nathan concentrates his practice in the areas of civil rights defense, governmental tort defense, insurance defense, commercial litigation, and employment law. His experience includes defending governmental entities, law enforcement and correctional officials, elected officials, judges, corporations, and corporate officials in a variety of federal and state courts. He routinely handles alleged excessive force, wrongful arrest, and other civil rights claims on behalf of law enforcement agencies, local jails, and prisons, and defends governmental entities in a variety of state law tort actions. In doing so, he has achieved victories on behalf of his clients in a wide variety of complex cases in both state and federal courts, including before the Tennessee Supreme Court, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Tennessee Court of Appeals.

Nathan is licensed to practice in the State of Tennessee, the United States Supreme Court, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States District Courts for the Western and Middle Districts of Tennessee, and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. He is a member of the Federal Bar Association, the Tennessee Bar Association, and the Jackson-Madison County Bar Association and has served on the Board of Directors for the Federal Bar Association Memphis/Mid-South Chapter and on the Board of Directors for the Madison County Court Appointed Special Advocates (“CASA”). Nathan earned his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 2012. He graduated from Union University in 2009.

He, his wife, and three children are active members of Mission Saint James in Jackson, Tennessee.
